We'll start with poor Matt. After working a full day, he was called at 9:30p and was asked to return to work due to quality issues that needed immediate attention. He was so looking forward to catching up on sleep and now he doesn't know when he's coming home!
I also had an up and down day. It started off sad, but thankfully had a happy ending. Long story short, I applied for a part-time, front desk position at SciWorks. When I dropped off my resume this morning, I was told by the front desk manager that she already had someone in mind. L I left feeling sad because I really enjoy my time at SciWorks and was hoping to at least get an interview. But, as I mentioned this story has a happy ending. This afternoon, I got an unexpected call from my "volunteer boss" saying that I, along with the other candidate, should get the opportunity to apply. I'm not sure when I'll interview, but I'll keep you all posted. I'll understand if I don't get the job, especially if someone is already being considered, but it's so nice they want to give me an opportunity, too. If I'm hired, it will be nice to make a little money again! And with it being part-time work, I can still make time for animal care/gardening volunteering. J
