Myrtle Beach

I'm busted! When my mom, some of her friends, some of my friends and my grandpa all notice I haven't blogged in a while, I know it's time to get on the ball.

So, I finally have posted our photos of our trip to Myrtle Beach!!!  We had a great time and as you saw from last week's post, Chico went with us!

This pier was behind our hotel - an awesome place to practice my bird watching and go on walks with Chico.

We dined outside that evening and while waiting for our dinner to arrive, I looked past Matt and low and behold, look at what I found!

I literally jumped up and said, "I'll be right back," ran across the street and bought these lovely items!

When I brought them back to our table, our waitress said, "Where did those come from?"  I told her what I had did and she just laughed at me.  Understandably so!  But hey, I was worried the place would close and we couldn't have that, could we!?

We stayed in N. Myrtle and the next day we went to Myrtle Beach's boardwalk. It was a bit disappointing because we weren't thrilled with the attractions and Chico wasn't allowed on the beach until May 1st.  Boo!  We made the best of it and put Chico in the car so Matt and I could have lunch. We went to a Land Shark brewery restaurant and this was our view...

Not bad for a brewery!

Land Sharks have gift shops attached and this is a shot of Matt relaxing on a Land Shark chair.  I'm not sure if you can see, but the top right side is missing because all their products have a bite taken out, as if a shark had bitten it.

Feeling ostracized because we had a dog (or was it because we had a dog of color?) we went back to N. Myrtle and took Chico to the beach.  He was so excited when we first got there.  He made a bee line for the ocean and then once he realized the ocean was wet, he ran away! However, it wasn't a complete loss. Whereas he didn't like the ocean, he did like digging in the sand!

We ate some great seafood while there.  Matt ate raw oysters every chance he got.  This is 1 of 3 oyster meals he had - I guess he likes them, huh!?

I shouldn't say much though, I had crab cakes every chance I got!

Sadly, all trips must come to an end.  As you can see from the next photo, we tired Chico out!
