Only where I work, can I have live chickens in my office! Yes, you read that correctly - today I had chickens sitting next to me in my office.
They were silkie chickens and they, in my opinion, look like muppets!
For the next couple of months, we have summer camp at SciWorks. Our first week is bird camp and we did a demo on chickens. After completing their classroom time, their owner needed to put them somewhere and she said, "Would you like to keep them in your office, Kirsten?"
I was like, "Um, yeah I want chickens in my office!!!" I was quite sad when they left. I missed the little cooing noises they made. Perhaps we'll steal a lizard or snake to hang out with us for the rest of the week! ;-)
