Work has slowed down for me due to summer break, and whereas I'm still teaching, it's 1/week vs. 3/week. I still work other days for various projects, but compared to my busier season, things have slowed down.
This has given Chico and I the opportunity to walk/jog most mornings. I think he loves my new schedule!
This week I've focused on fixer-upper projects around the house. After being exhausted from one day of de-weeding the yards, I decided to ask our landscaper to finish the job. He also trimmed the hedges and cleared out extra brush, so our yard is looking pretty nice. Today I'm finishing this project by laying some mulch and planting some flowers by the mailbox. After that, I think the house should be ready for a nice show-and-tell photo. :-)
Tuesday I discovered we had sprung a leak, so we hired a plummer to get that fixed. Unfortunately, he cut a huge hole in the wall, so my next project is to patch that up! :-( Oh well, if it's going to happen, I'd rather it be now vs. when I'm busier!
