Well... my apologies. I actually have a reason - but it's a lame one. All my photos were inaccessible because I lost the camera's battery. I couldn't even plug it in to the computer to get the photos. However, we found the battery and now I have very old photos to post. I'll continue with our Staycation...
We went to Asheville to see the gingerbread festival we attend each year. It did not disappoint. This year, since we went the week before Christmas (rather than the week between Christmas and New Year's) it was much less crowded. We also spent a wonderfully long time sitting in the lobby near the beautiful Christmas tree and in front of the fire place enjoying warm beverages.

This final house is this year's grand winner. I personally think it did not translate well enough through photos, but it was amazing in person.
