Not with the packing unfortunately, but with all the outside moving companies! The final was our third-party packer/unpackers for our TV, glass tops, washer/dryer and refrigerator! Everything appears to have made it safe and sound!
Matt took the 2nd part of the day off so we could go to the DMV to apply for NC drivers' licences. We were told there would be 4 tests - vision, signs, traffic laws and driving (you know, getting behind the wheel like we were 16 again). I was so nervous because I stink at tests and I was certain that no matter how long I'd been driving that I wouldn't remember any statistics. Thankfully, we both passed! Seriously, though, it wasn't as easy as one would think. As I had feared, there were a lot of statistical questions that neither of us knew for sure, but took an educated guess. As for vision, that was fine, no problems there. We both got the same wrong for signs. We didn't know what a side-ways yellow triangle was for. Do you!? And finally, as for driving, they told us that since our CA licenses were current we could skip the driving test. That was it, after resurrecting some 16-year-old memories, we now are legal NC residents! :)
Matt had to go back to work since he took the afternoon off. I tagged along because I wanted to see where he works. Here's his closet..oops, I mean office! Don't worry, that's his joke, not mine!
And this shot is of him next to one of his Kaizen charts. He has his first event today and this was one of two that he made for it. :)
Check out the safety glasses! I looked even dorkier behind the camera. We are the epitome of safety-fashion!
