Our most recent Wake Forest game was against NC State and I'm pleased to say we won! Now we are 3-3 which means... we are average! Hooray, we don't totally suck this year! Here we are with Wayne at our pre-game tailgating party. Doris wasn't able to join us so we had to BBQ without her. :-(
The stands were full of fans...for NC State that is! I swear there was more red than gold!
We sat next to a pee-wee football team and they were rooting for NC State since they drove up from the Raleigh area. Our mascot, the Demon Deacon, decided to be nice and paid the team a visit. The kids/coaches then took it upon themselves to chant, "Wolfpack, Wolfpack," which is a cheer for NC State. I think that kind of ticked off our mascot because he grabbed one of the kids' hat, showed it to the crowd, and gestured a big thumbs down. The WF fans started to cheer on the Deacon, so hopefully he felt redeemed. I personally think the kids had it coming! ;-)
