Back From Asheville

Matt and I just got back from a quick trip to Asheville, a city about 2 hours away that we like to visit each year. It reminds us a lot of Chico, so I'm not surprised we've grown attached to it. This year we decided to attend the National Gingerbread Competition at a historic hotel to cap off the Christmas season.

I'll post the pictures of the Gingerbread competition once I have access to my other computer (I'm currently writing this from M&D&G's house), but I do have access to a photo of a painting we bought from an artist we've admired ever since our first trip to Asheville.

 

Isn't it pretty?  It make me happy when I look at it so it's home will be over our mantle. :-D
