Matt's company had their holiday party this past weekend. We had a really nice time because, unlike last year, Matt actually knew people. For those that don't recall, Matt had only been with the company one week before last year's holiday party. Last year we held back and did a lot of people watching. This year Matt was able to mingle AND introduce me to his co-workers (what a novelty)!

And here we are in the parking lot half way through dinner when we had to evacuate the building due to the fire alarm going off. Sigh... The convention center is attached to a hotel and apparently one of the hotel guests was sneaking a cigarette in the men's bathroom.
But we stuck out the wait and returned to the party and continued the fun. It also helped that we hadn't had dessert yet! ;-)
