Who would have guessed that we would hit the Happiest Place On Earth for our 1st day in LA???
We had such fun - and also, one very lucky day! We drove into the parking area and when we got there, Tim, our new favorite person, told us that we were "Mickey's special guests of the day."
That meant that he wanted to comp our parking, give us a preemo-primo spot, and give us a personal lift to the gate! We felt so special!!! It was so awesome! Not only did we get free parking, and get a great parking spot, but then like I said, we hopped into another car and Tim gave us a lift to the gate and gave us the Disney lowdown for the day. That night, when returning to our car, we were even the first stop off the tram!

Then of course, there was Disneyland itself! How can you not be a kid when you get there!? We spent all morning riding rides (on my foolproof ride system) and in only 1 hour's time we had ridden the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mouton Railroad.

And here's Matt laughing at the corny jokes they are so famous for!!!

Me at It's A Small World.
We headed over to Toontown at one point and it was there that we met some friends...
And perhaps tried on a hat...
Of course, that didn't stop Matt from working. Can you believe that - how can he work in Toontown of all places!?!
Chillin in Minnie's house.
One of the things that made our visit special were the flowers that were in bloom. Seriously, they were gorgeous and specific only to Spring!
It was around this time that we needed to make it to our restaurant reservation at the Blue Bayou. Matt had never been, and for those that don't know, this is the restaurant that sits along the "river" in Pirate of the Caribbean. I had hoped that we would get a water view, and would you know that our luck continued and we got a spot right next to the water. This was our views...
We had a fabulous lunch and then continued to shopping on Main Street. You'll be happy to know that my Tigger collection has increased by two! I'm sure the rest of my Tiggers will give quite the welcome to Tiggers #116 and #117!
Being in Disneyland during this time meant that we were exposed to two holidays being celebrated through extra decorations/shopping. Marti Graw...

And St. Patty's Day...
We continued the day by going on more rides. Whereas the park was more crowded than we expeced on a Thursday in February, we never waited in a line for more than 20 minutes. In most cases, we waited under 5 minutes! We love Fast Passes!!! Finally, evening came and our day of fun had to come to a close.
We had such a wonderful time!!!
