Poor Matt! He's had a bad rash for a couple of weeks and couldn't figure out why. It got worse this week so he went to the doctor and was diagnosed that he came into contact with poison ivy! Matt said he doesn't remember being near any, but we suspect it must have happened while doing yard work. Thankfully he now has medicine to help. :)
I had my second day of volunteering yesterday and learned a new task that I found fascinating!!! I assisted in cleaning fish tanks and I learned how to clean the inside and the outside of a glass tank at the same time. Any guesses???? Well, if you guessed magnets, you'd be correct! One side of the magnet (attached with velcro) is dropped into the tank and it's used to scrape the algae. The dry magnet (attached with felt) attracts the wet one through the glass and cleans the outside of fingerprints and dirt. It was so fascinating! I had about 50 million kids ask me if they could help so I'm already getting the experience of saying no repeatedly! :)
