I was focused on one thing and one thing only on Thursday - polishing up my resume! Matt found a job posting for a local university and on Friday morning I applied for it! It is a marketing/journalist position to promote the school and it's national image. I'd be working for a director, who I get the impression might be the spokesperson for the university. My primary responsibility would be to research newsworthy stories to promote the college through different medias for all of the school's different features - ie, sports, education, research, etc.
I don't know if I'll get a definitive answer if I don't get the job. As they worded it.... they'll let me know if they would like to set up an interview. So, I'll do my best to keep you in the loop.
Meanwhile, I still haven't heard back from the volunteer position I applied for 3 weeks ago! Times are tough when volunteer work is hard to get!
