The Fair

As some of you may have seen on Facebook, I checked something off my bucket list yesterday...I finally got to eat a Krispy Kream burger!

Yep, you read that right. A burger with Krispy Kream donuts instead of a bun.  Ah, sheer delight!  It was quite tasty! Now, needless to say, I've heard mixed reviews.  Everything from "hmmm...." to "really?!?" to "that should be illegal" and finally my favorite, "I don't if I should be jealous or disgusted!"

I personally don't understand why you all don't want to eat donuts with beef, cheese, tomato, pickles, mustard, ketchup and mayo!  Ha!  It was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. Amazingly enough, I'm not even pregnant so imagine what cravings I'd have if I were! Ha! We also tried fried mac and cheese (yummy!) and Matt had maple flavored cotton candy. Yep, a meal every nutritionist would be proud of...snicker, snicker!

We had fun at the fair, despite what you think of our unusual meals.  My favorite activity was the pig races.  We literally watched piglets race for the grand prize - an Oreo cookie.

We also enjoyed the exhibits, and saw the biggest horses I've ever seen!  I forget the breed, but they all stood over 8' tall!

This picture doesn't do it justice, but up to it's shoulders alone were 6 feet!  Gotta love the fair!  :)
