We Are Back!

Well actually, we've been back. I'm just the one that's been delayed for a week. Mom and I were exhausted for the first couple of days after our return.  At least Mom jumped into unpacking the next day.  I, on the other hand, enjoyed my four days off of work and sat around on my bum doing nothing. 

Grandpa needed a few more days to adjust, but from the sounds of it, he's doing much better.  I asked him what he thought of his new place and he says he really likes it.  (Yay!)  For those that don't know, Grandpa is living in the "basement" of Mom and Dad's place.  Now, please keep in mind that the term "basement" is being used only because I lack another word in my vocabulary.  His home (aka his palatial estate) has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, a huge common area, and doors leading out to a porch with a pond view.  Not too shabby!  Oh and let's not forget the amazing sun room they'll all be getting later this year!

Mom and Dad have been unpacking at a rapid rate.  This is partly due to them having visitors/helpers this past week - Aunt Patty and Uncle Bob.  They've been instrumental in helping situate Grandpa, and with unpacking. Matt and I have got to see them a couple of times and it's so nice to know that these visits will be a common throughout the years.

Next time we are there, I'll take pictures to share their progress.  :-)  I was able to get this photo of Mom upon arrival to her new home.  Awwwww!
