Since I've been watching a lot of Olympic figure skating, Matt suggested we go ice skating today. But when we got to the rink, we quickly noticed how crowded it was. Not only did it seem like every NC family was there, but I counted at least three birthday parties as well.
So when we read that both of our shoe sizes had run out at the rental shop, we did an about face and bolted.
Instead we went to the Reynolda Art Museum to see their new temporary exhibit which features a Norman Rockwell painting. Knowing he is Matt's favorite artist, we thought that would be a fun alternative.
I was able to Google the painting we saw (although this picture does not do it justice).
It was so impressive to see in person. He really is an amazingly detailed artist.
