Last week we got our front entry stairs redone. One step had a severe drop and we kept wanting to get it fixed, but we couldn't find anyone that did masonry work. Until recently, when one drove to our neighbor's house, and I literally chased him down the street. (Uh, yes, I looked as crazy as it sounds). But it worked because he came a few weeks later and the stairs look beautiful. So the take away from the post is this...
If you ever need a vendor, don't ask your friends or family for a referral, simply run after them when they pass by your house! ;-)
When the mason finished, he put caution tape up so no one would walk on them for a couple days. Aside from the fact that our front entryway look like a crime scene, we were thrilled with the turnout and couldn't wait to test them out. Two days later, we finally walked the stairs and even did a mock ribbon cutting. If you look in the background, you'll see we got a great turnout!
