Last night we went to the local fair and we really enjoyed our spontaneous mid-week dates. This fair was unlike any we'd been to because over 50% of it was just food vendors! And being in the South, I've never seen so many things that could be fried! They even had fried Kool-Aid! Let me explain (because I certainly needed it)! The powder is clumped together in the fry batter and then dipped into the fryer. Crazy! I ordered the fried Oreos (What!? When in Rome, right!).
I did get a chance to try the fried Kool-Aid and it tasted like cherry fried dough. Now I can officially say I eat like a Southerner...on occasion!
And if fried Kool-Aid wasn't weird enough, we also saw the world's largest Gummy Bear!
We enjoyed walking around seeing the exhibits, rides, and games. I even got a great idea for a Halloween decoration this year - clever idea for a gourd!
We ended the evening by visiting the animals. It was bed time for them...as you'll see by the photo below.
Or perhaps they were getting ready for their secret society meeting - at least that's what I think it looks like! We also saw rabbits and I learned a bunch of new information about our little BB. But, that didn't stop us from oohing and aweing the others!
An Angora Rabbit - so frickin adorable!
